Foxtel IQ
Can someone answer for me, with foxtel IQ, can you record 7,9 and 10 or not?
Different people seem to say different things. Thanks :D |

If you plan to use IQ to record them make sure you configure the system to record an additional 10 mins at the end of each recording as the schedules often overrun between 5-10 mins on Australian Terrestrial channels. |
Re: Foxtel IQ
Does it depend on where you live? Someone was telling hubbie today that they don't get any of those 3 channels on foxtel.

9 and 10 only. 7 is not on Foxtel, but apparently will be later this year.

I'd even be happy with Melbourne feeds - might get some decent news rather the cr@p we get here! |
Re: Foxtel IQ
it does, i believe, depend if you are getting your Foxtel via cable or satellite.
in South Yarra, Melbourne i get my Foxtel via cable and i get all the fta channels and am able to record them all. not that there is anything worth recording, but that is another discussion... |

Re: Foxtel IQ
Wow, this is getting confusing. Do they tell you when you sign up if you will or won't get those channels?

Re: Foxtel IQ
If there is cable in your street you will get 7 9 10 on foxtel but if you have to have a Satellite install then you wont.

Re: Foxtel IQ
We have satellite Foxtel (just outside Brisbane) and we get channel 9 & 10 on our system. This means we can tape them just like any other program.
The only thing we don't get through Foxtel is Channel 7, we can still get it through the free to air by pushing a few buttons on the tv. Unfortunately though it can't be taped since it's not going through the Foxtel box. So, it really depends if you're satellite or cable with Foxtel. I believe it also depends on where you are. I have read that Channel 7 will soon be coming to satellite for those that don't have it already. http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2008/02/se...agreement.html |
Re: Foxtel IQ
Like Pommy Dave we get all the free to air channels through our foxtel IQ and just good old plain foxtel.
I believe that it depends (here in Melbourne) whether you get your service through cable or satellite- we get ours via cable. |
