I remember I gave it a try fairly early on after I moved here, got the train into the MCG to watch a game & was amazed that supporters wearing opposite team colours were sitting beside each other.
I thought FFS if that was Rangers & Celtic they wouldn't be allowed on the same train never mind the same seat.
Loved the game ever since.
I have to say that I have given footy a go, but still can't get that excited about it when compared to football. Pam, however, is now part of her work tipping comp and so is getting very interested in "footy". We have decided that our team is the Bulldogs as we are in the Western suburbs, and I see that they are doing well so far, which is nice . I might well be up for going to a Bulldogs game at Telstra if anyone else is interested ?

I started in1963 following FOOTSCRAY [bulldogs], when i moved to sth Australia in 65 we followed the local SANFL Bulldogs [central districts]. .......Still have a soft spot for em.............. mm

Yeah unfortunetly I went for the Blues. Got quite excited in 3rd quarter.

Sydney do play ugly football though.

I'm taking the step FIL tomorrow with the kids. Me and leah support Essendon and Niall the dogs. FIL is going for the dogs to support Niall. I'm tipping we are gonna get whooped

I must admit I liked the look of the game when I first saw it but had no idea what's going on. After learning a bit about the rules, it started to make sense and to be honest, I prefer it now to the round ball game I reckon. Unless Boro make the UEFA Cup final anyway
