Flying at Xmas? Potential BA cabin crew strike!

I'll be honest and say that I only choose to fly BA when travelling within Europe. They are quite reliable and I have been using them at least once a month for well over a year. As long as the strike action doesn't fall within the early part of November then I don't care. Yes, I am being selfish.

After our last flight with them I agree with you. If they could have gotten away with everyone going and getting their own meals they would have. Not giving a monkeys that our TVs were broken for a 13 hour flight also make me lose sympathy. I think anyone who books with them for a holiday period is taking a big chance as they seem to kick off whenever there is one.

Same here. Except for the solicitors handling my house sale and purchase it doesn't seem to have affected anyone that I know. There's three more days of strike action expected - starting Thursday.

The unions might be giving Willie Walsh exactly what he wants - the airline goes bust and comes back under a different name (a la Swissair) minus the massive pension fund deficit & old working conditions he is trying to change.

Their quote of the day had to be about people being flexible about their travel dates - people are flying at this time of the year because they have to be with family and friends. A friend of mine is booked to fly to Scotland on Boxing Day with her young son - she paid £120 with BA months ago - when she looked last night it was £380 EACH WAY with another company. She is a young widow and will now probably not see her family - it's a bloody disgrace
