Flying at Xmas? Potential BA cabin crew strike!

Flying at Xmas? Potential BA cabin crew strike!
I know most people don't use BA for trips back to the UK, given that they only fly to Sydney...however some people might pick up a codeshare with Qantas in Singapore or Bangkok.
Well it looks like it could be time for BA's annual public relations disaster:
Strike ballot for BA cabin crew
The timing of the ballot and rules around when a subsequent strike has to take place mean that if the cabin crew vote for it it will likely fall at some time in December.
Happy travels!

Partner is doing a 12 day turnaround should make life interesting.
What happens to FF passengers in the event of a strike do you get another seat like paid passengers would.
See I knew getting free anything was too good to be true

You'd get one....eventually! There aren't exactly a lot of spare seats close to Xmas. I'd hazard a guess lots of people would be getting bumped, you probably wouldn't be safe on a Qantas flight if a Qantas platinum kicked off BA wanted your seat...unless you're already a Qantas platinum!

Will post what they say in case it helps others.
Edit: HELP!!, now on hold listening to "I still call australia home" OMG do they have any other music...
Right, they dont know about the strike, but FF passengers are treated same as paid passengers so eg in recent dust storms offered alternative flight or refund. However staff didnt sound 100% certain so dont take my word for it!!

I know nobody who willingly travels BA over other airlines.
More interestingly than the death throws; anagrams of The worlds favorite airline include :
Faint delirious travel whore
and
It is another awful ride, lover.
Google never ceases to amuse me
