I think not... posting after midnight does not constitute first say. First say is for the first person to post in the morning.

Different rulebook entirely. Somebody else will have to manage that one. :)

I always assumed it would be the first person to post in the morning, as in "first person to post after going to bed for the night, sleeping, then getting up again...." otherwise I reckon the honours would be divided between those of us who do night shifts :lol:

I definitely think it is whoever goes to bed and definitely sleeps. Then wakes up and posts.

In order to make life easier, I will write a couple of the rules that I use in order to post on this thread. :)

To qualify for posting, you have had to have had, your horlicks, brushed your teeth, got into your jim-jams and then your head definitely has to do the nodding dog (eyes closed) and possibly show some proof that you have dribbled saliva onto the pillow (the crusty residue on your cheek will be good enough)... if you wake up thereafter, you can post ligitimately.

Alternatively, falling into a fully unconscious state in bed whilst tightly grasping a wine glass (or otherwise) and letting the previously mentioned glass then tip all over the bed clothes WILL qualify you for "being asleep" and should you wake up (usually drowned in alcohol), yes, you can post on the First Say! thread.

Falling asleep on the sofa with the laptop dangling precariously on your knee, then waking up because your dog has jumped on you and licked your face (or perhaps humping your leg) and THEN posting is not permitted. Just because it is 6.30am, and you have been comatosed for several hours will not be accepted. Bed time is paramount.

**feel free to add more rules at this point**

I haven't got a dog...does that mean I can't play anymore?

Re: First Say!

Utter bullshit, sorry!
Entertaining as Em's suggested rules were, the only rule is to post as soon after QLD midnight as poss.
Likewise, last say, rule is to post as close to 12.00 as you can, QLD time obviously!
It used to be UK time but there you go, I moved so stuff you!:p;):lol:

Don't worry, I don't have a dog either, maybe we need a "first say for people who don't have a dog to hump their leg" thread? :rofl;
