Few hours to kill in Perth - What to do?
Yep - week after next I have to go to Perth for a few days.
I'll have a car and expect to finish work each day around 3pm. I'm confident that at least one evening will be spent drinking heavily [colleague has a birthday that needs celebrating]- but is there anything else worth doing around the Perth area to kill a few hours? Any suggestions from those with local knowledge? |

Have a look at Freo then drive up the coast and see what beaches we're missing here in Brisbane.

Drive along river, taking Mounts Bay Road from the CBD, follow river around Nedlands, Dalkeith, Claremont (really bad traffic around 3.15-3.45 on school days), Peppermint Grove, Mosman Park, where you can get onto West Coast Highway and head south to Freo, west to Cottesloe, or north up to Hillarys (turn onto West Coast Drive, Trigg, about 1km north of Scarborough). Plenty of refreshment stops on the way.

If you find yourself in Iluka and have some spare time feel free to pop round. I won't be in but how would you like to come over and mow my lawn?

It'll be cold and dark, I'd just go to the casino in burswood play poker or roulette get drunk and repeat.
