Angry Feeling Nostalgic...

We were donw the southside yesterday, and feeling a tad nostalgic, we thought we would go and see our first home in Australia.. been a year since we departed .. and thought, wonder whats new, what it looks like etc etc etc

Boy was I in for a shock .....

2005 Images when we lived there..

NOW ! Oct 26th 2007

To say we both felt emotional is an understatement.

The entire place is now used by a builder as his materials yard !

I can understand the emotions. the last place we had was a fantastic house, with some lovely solid wood bookshelves and built in table. Goregous views right across north Brisbane to the sea, could sit on the verandah and watch the lights of the planes landing on the horizon. First place we had rented together.
Anyway, the landlord gave us notice cos he wants to flatten it. The Bloke keeps doing drive-bys to see what they are doing to it, yesterday the shelves and stuff, all beautiful solid wood, were all stripped and piled in the garden. Very sad. If he wants to drive past agin he'll have to do it alone as I don't want to see the place flattened.
