I agree with this post.I don't think being grumpy all the time would be that great but why mask your feelings?If you feel crap then celebrate it!

My grumpy outlook is vindicated 
His earlier work shows the weather has a similar impact on us - wet, dreary days sharpened memory, while bright sunny spells make people forgetful.
That's weird though, because it always seems like the weather was warmer when you were young.
