Feeling down and need cheering up

Hi guys,

This hanging around is really getting me down. I'm having a wee bit of difficulty picking myself up. Logic tells me that everything is going in the right direction but heart is a bit down.

Any words of wisdom (or just words!).

Cheers

Ginny

Ginny, I know what you mean but keep in mind that you have your health, you have a life, wherever that will be and people that care about you.

As long as you have that, that is the most important thing.

Try not to look too far ahead, take each day at a time and make the most of each little thing.

Build up a memory box to take with you, either a video diary, little momentos you can keep.

Keep yourself busy, contact friends you may have lost touch with. Make lists of small things that need doing and try and do a small thing each day.

Everything will be fine, you just have to go with the flow and not think too much.

So get the wine chilled and start doing your 'memory' box, that will keep you busy.

Good luck

Lots of beer works well. I've just come back from the MIL's pub.

Don't feel too much better but at least I'll sleep tonight :D

Cheers folks,

Kind of know what you mean. We all have our health, I've got a absolutely fantastic family and there's a lot of life ahead of me.

First time really that I've felt this migrating malarky getting to me!

Don't know from experience of BEP what your current state of play is immigration wise.

However from your profile your profession is neonatal nurse.

Let me tell you now : my baby is now 16 - he is 6'2 and 13.5 stone, he was born at 28 weeks as a twin but I lost his brother, Danny is now a GREAT personality and contribution to any society no health probs but a bit of asthema - His birth weight was 2.3 lb at 28 weeks.

I'd give my life and well being for people like you god bless you and all in your specialist field

- you must cheep up, you are a valued excellent person in our society

Me too.
Never felt so humble in the hands of an unknown person (CO) who is to make a decision on the future of my family. Been at this process nearly 2 years now. I find myself quite shocked at how it affects motivation, so, to the original poster, and others in the same boat, I totally empathise with you and just wish I had those words of wisdom and motivation, but I don't have them and need them as much as you!!!!!

well this is a tricky one as you are clearly fed up from waiting and i dont blame you.i hope it doesnt happen to us.but surely you cant be that far off.put it this way surely by lets say March the visa should be in your hand.and when it is just try and think how happy you will be.try and focus on the positive.youve got your lovely family and you have got this far.also from what i can gather you have helped so many people on here that one day you will reap the rewards. So hard as it is just try and hang in there Claire.you are so near and not too far away.sending you karma(if i m doing it right)x irishbloo
