We unfortunately we ate in an establishment in Cairns set up by a Pom who did just that. When the food came it was like school stew! 
We couldn't eat for laughing. The owner came over to ask if the meal was OK and we just about managed to stop laughing. We politely advised him to get an Indian chef to come over from the UK. I wonder if he did.......................

Mind you, your original idea is a good one. If you could get a restaurant to make up a whole CONTAINER of frozen curry you could set up a restaurant selling the stuff!!!
We are headed to Adelaide and were out there in March. I have to say we had an excellent curry there. pricey but fabulous and just like a UK curry. It might be cheaper to fly over there than fly your curry in. LOL.
