Is this a fairy, spirit, odd light or speck???
1 Attachment(s)
Whilst walking in the spooky Redwood Forest near Warburton today - this strange apparition appeared on my photo.... I can't think what it can be. The strange thing is, when I zoomed in it looked like a clockface telling the same time as my watch.....
Do any photographers have any ideas?? |

Dust speck or condensation (or something) in the camera.
I can beat your single blob.. |

What about the pattern on it? There's no sign of it on any other pics. I want it to be something spooky :sneaky:

My MIL believes orbs are spirits of loved ones.
Here is a slightly more scientific explanation :D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orb_(optics) |

Some sort of internal reflection in the camera. Sometimes a glint of bright light reflects off part of the lens instead of going through it, or can reflect several times. The tree is in focus but the blob isn't, so it must be much closer.

This happened to us while staying in an old hotel in Ireland. Unnerving. I couldn't look at that series of photos without saying, "Er, what is that floating around the room?" :p |

Looks like the orbs in the photos that my niece and her mates take in their ghost tours business.

I reckon the real freaky part is how the people can stay upright up such a steep incline

It's a hole in the space time continuum... that's why it looks like a clock.
There were some abandoned stick shelters and a banana skin there - obviously left by the 'visitors'.... |

Ive never believed this orb business, they look like specks of dust on the camera lens to me.
