Facebook search
Good news. Now, if you have a Facebook account, and there's a bloody good chance you do, you can do crazy searches that you could not do before. Such as
find all pictures of baby scans from friends and friends of friends - delete all associated accounts
find all farmville users from friends and friends of friends - delete all associated accounts

I don't find the need to know what my family / friends are doing every second of every day and I don't particularly feel the need to let the world know how I am feeling every day or upload crappy photos of me / my family.
I am also not really interested in what the people I went to school with are doing these days, I really couldn't give a **** how reproductive they are or how successful / unssuccessful they are.
I keep in contact with the close family and friends I want to keep in contact with very well without the need for 2500 electronic friends that I would never meet.
Facebook is for nosey internet snoopers.

Re: Facebook search
Facebook goes further and further down the toilet with every change they make.
I joined facebook in 2008 when I moved to Australia as a way to keep in touch with family. I soon after found it a good tool for social activities as I met more people over here. It still has it's uses for that.
But, it's now throwing ad's in your face all the time, reposting old status messages and obviously has a right over your content to do whatever it wishes. I think it's time to give up Facebook.

I primarily set up an account when we moved here, so friends and family can see pics and keep up to date with us etc.
I actually like the social interaction within faceache . I also like the funny, silly things people add. If I friend anyone and they start adding their god bothering crap, they are deleted

I am on FB but spend less than 10mins a day on it, and not every day. All my FB friends are overseas or on the east coast. As a cheap, easy way to keep in touch it is very good but that's about it. I don't understand how some people let it rule their lives.
I don't get Twitter. What's the point of that?

I think Twitter should be re-branded, along the lines of butter substitutes:
I can't believe it's not Twatter.

Re: Facebook search
Facebook was great when it first came out and got popular as it allowed to get in touch with loads of people I'd lost contact with. Its quite handy these days for organising social things, but this new feature is definitely creepy. Its mental the degree to which a lot of kids use it though, a lot of them literally base their social lives around it.
Twitter is awesome. Forget following idiot celebs - its the best source of news bar none.

Apparently its also full of celebrity tat but as I just use it as a tool with specific feeds and hashtags its easy to avoid 99.9% of the junk.
