Damn!!!! Missed the semi final this morning as was not aware of this, but will be watching the final ......https://www.optus.com.au/about/media...on-optus-sport . Hope Optus have got enough server capacity for all the Poms down here!!!

It has literally taken a life time for me to see England in a final being a late "66 baby!!!

Shot myself in the foot with the viewing in company with this. We fly up to Cairns on Sunday. I've checked everywhere I can think of up there for watching with other supporters. I phoned the Casino and it's closed. ... Pj Obriens wont open for it...Neither will the Sports bars. In fact I checked so thoroughly that I did eventually find a venue.... An Italian restaurant in town.... I wont be going there for sure. So at least we'll be able to watch it via our optus account and stream live to my computer in our Aus Post Holiday home.

Contrast this to Melbourne, where there will definitely be well over 100 venues showing this live...mostly within the Melbourne Branches of individual english supporters football clubs local meeting pubs opening up specifically to show them.

Palaces one the Charles Dickens in Collins street was booked out within 12 minutes of the the semi finishing just after the final whistle.

So anyone wanting to watch in company here in Melbourne..... Try the Casino... it will be packed .... there will be plenty of atmosphere.

Watch Lygon St.... I'm a bit concerned as to what could happen there, with some of the more radical English support may head that way, so I've heard on the grapevine..

Yeh, caught the semi on the app, was surprised to see it free, not even a registration needed.

Looking forward to the final, I don’t work Mondays so no need to prebook the sick day. :thumbup:

Thankfully there are a lot of TV channels NOT showing the football, as well as Netflix, so I will have something to watch. I MAY keep dipping into the match, but it's not a guarantee, there will be excerpts of the 'best' bits all over the internet soon after.

Looks like the formation we played against Germany. 😮.I may be wrong and trying to stay positive but I think this is playing into the hands of the Italians. The build up to these last few games has been something to behold and glad we're here to experience it. Enjoy the game

Tomorrow, in our meal-room, there will be no dealing with either the Italians or the Poms. And there are plenty of both, and I like both groups, so I'll have to choose my words carefully and diplomatically for each...
