I'm blessed with inlaws that I get on with to the extent the MIL takes my side in discussions with OH, but I've had inlaws from HELL before, still have nightmares about them now 15 years on, so totally understand the position you're in.

Wish you all the very best, alcohol is your friend, and if you speak your mind when you're drunk also your worst enemy :lol:

I have a fool-proof method of dealing with visiting in-laws.
Invest in a cat.
Pour beer on him, keep him locked in a room all week feeding him tortillas with hot chilli sauce under the door and swear at him every day.
Then when they arrive,open the door and let the cat roam free. You will be free to enjoy your day while your feline "hall monitor" will keep any unwanted guests in their room. :thumbup:

Commiserations. I get on well with my inlaws but the idea of them or hubby's inlaw coming to live close would finish me off. I didn't move 12,000 miles for nothing.

There was a knock at the door, I new it was the mother in law because all the mice were throwing themselves on the traps.

I saw six men kicking and punching the mother inlaw, My neighbour said 'Are you going to help' I said no six Should be enough!!!!!

I saw the mother inlaw walking down the path so i jumped from behind the garage and shouted BOO! She said you nearly frightened me to death, so i shouted BOO! BOO! BOO!

My mother inlaw said 'one day i will dance on your grave' i said i hope you do, i will be buried at sea.

have just had the MIL's company for 12 days... and she knows everything !

I wonder if your FIL wants an AFFAIR with her ! pmsl.. get rid of the 2 of em... less inlaws then ;)

our MIL came to visit us for 3 weeks while we were in sydney. i was dreading it, but she was fantastic mate. just hope its the same for you guys.
