Fantastic news Wendy! Really pleased for you. I don't really post much but i read everything on here trying to gain as much information as i can, my story regarding house sale is similar to yours, had survey 4 weeks ago and buyers paid deposit today and we've agreed a date of 23rd June :scared: Very overwhelmed at all the things we've got to do now, just waiting for the okay we've exchanged and then book the flights( 25th we think) Considering the visa process is stressful i have a feeling it's going to be a whole lot worse over the next few weeks. Any tips or advice is appreciated from anyone. Good luck to you Wendy Shirley xx |

Bet I don't sleep tonight  I remember exchanging the house - the day the money went in the bank we handed the keys over. All our stuff had been shipped out week before and we had been sleeping on air beds and eating take away food. We handed keys over on Monday at lunch time - booked flights 2 hours later on the internet - and flew on the wednesday morning at 9 am from Manchester - I think it was too much of a whirlwind to get excited or nervous. I do remember one moment thou and that was - we booked a limo to airport - it was our bit of luxury and quite practical too as we had loads of baggage and there was 4 of us - so only 60 pounds more expensive than a minibus - but I remember walking up[ the stairs onto the plane and taking the one final moment to look back - It felt very wierd - and I felt in limbo over here for about 5 weeks - but then I pulled myself together and the rest is history......good luck with everything - the best bits are to come I promise you that |
