EMERGENCY UK HELP!
Due to the passing of my mother in the uk, i have to return unexpectedly, having just looked at my daughters passport i found it had expired in july of last year, we are on a 175 permanent residence visa and have been in oz for 15 months,my daughter is 6 years old, will both the uk and australian immigration services allow her to both travel to the uk and return to oz.i know i could apply to the uk consulate in canberra but due to time constraints this is not practical at this time
Any advise would be appreciated thanks sharon |

Re: EMERGENCY UK HELP!
Random drop-in here, but I believe she can enter the UK with the expired pp. You'd need to get the renewal done while you are there; she couldn't come back to Australia with it expired.
I'm so sorry for your loss. A good poster to check with is JAJ. |

Re: EMERGENCY UK HELP!
I know in the UK you could just turn up at the passport office and get issued with a new one on the day. Definatley speak to the consolute in Canberra for advice. Maybe an option would be to fly via Canberra to the consulute for a new one then onto the UK.
Hope everything works out for you |
