Yup, just a diff plug (euro adaptors wont work).

Best thing for stereos, TVs and DVD players is to bring a LOT of those 4block extension leads. Change one plug, and then you can use 4 UK plugs off it.

If they're old - ie with CFCs you won't be able to ship them. If they're not huge it may not be worth it but the fridge will always come in handy as your bar/pool (beer) fridge.

My husband wanted to buy one of those little fridges from K-Mart for the beer/wine fridge. It may be ok for my wine, but where's he going to put his beer?

Defo bring the electrics if you have room in your container. With new plugs they'll be fine.

Good point, one of other thing is with this being the case can you just go in to Bunnings etc and buy new plugs like you can in the UK.

Yes of course, even the corner shop sells plugs. Bunnings sell all plugs you can thing of.

They also sell a range of Lights, Spot lights, fans etc called DIY, and then on the box it says, must be installed by a qualified electricial engineer. How is that DIY?!:confused:

Yes, I forgot to say to have a qualified electrician change your plugs whilst you imbibe of the spirits contained in the fridge.

I just picked up a few plugs from Bunnings for the lap top etc. The guy in there told me they must be installed by a qualified electician etc etc :p, he then also pointed out that I probably needed the 10amp ones and not the 15 amp:( :blink:
I swapped them and my lap top is now charging nicely.

Honestly, where does it end, I was stunned to find when we were doing renovation to the INSIDE of our house, we should have got council approval? What??? We've to ring up the council to put in a new kitchen? Are they going to have ameeting about our choice of kitchen top? Maybe the cooker isn't up to their standards?

They must be taking the piss.

You can always just use an adapter, no need to rewire them. Get a good sturdy type. I got some of mine from Maplins in the UK. Loads of place sell them so shop around. I seen the ones i have for £10 and then seen them for £4 in another place.
