Hey, all we got was the democracy sausage in a democracy bun, no cupcake. I'm moving

Thankfully majority had ALP voting cards in my inner city electorate. Greens appeared popular for The Senate. No 'democracy' sausage at my polling place. Must be an enticement to give away freebies to get Lib's to come out and vote.

The various political apparatchiks had covered the fence in front of the polling place with slogans, pictures and threats that if you voted for the 'other lot' your leg would immediately fall off. They were lined up like an honour guard, waiting to waylay anyone trying to get through the gate as they came from the car park.

So I walked along the fence and snuck in behind the line trying to hand out 'how to vote' cards; avoiding the gauntlet entirely.

As I went in I heard one of them say "I hate it when they do that" ....

I voted on Tuesday. Two other voters, a few posters up, one person from each party trying to hand over shiny bits of tree and no boiled onion with debatable meat on plastic bread to be seen. Also for the first time I worked out my preferences before going down. It was almost a pleasure.

Looking interesting. NSW thinking with a clear head. Victoria confused as always. Barnaby has an amazing mid life crisis glow. Tony gone.

I think it's been yet another nail in the coffin of democracy. Too many disengaged, clueless, *****wits, who continue to vote for losers who would step over them in a gutter, Coming on top of the US and UK, it kind of points up that people get the government they deserve. Dutton got home FFS - after everything he's done.

The only positive spark is that the waste of space Abbott has gone, but not nearly enough for the electorate to excuse themselves from voting for failure.

As I said, too many confused people in Victoria. If you want to call them disengaged, clueless, *****wits, then you might be right.

It was time for Tony. His own personal views and ambition wasn't letting the party move forward. His concession speech was excellent. The people have spoken.

I have had the ABC on for half an hour. It's like there's been a death in the family.

Time to find a happier channel.

You should have a look at the Guardian - it's like Trump/Clinton all over again - libtard denialism on steroids!
