I suppose the concern has to be: where has he been and what has he been doing in the two days since his return....how many people has he had contact with?

It's a little scary, but apparently ebola is not contagious until a person is actually suffering symptoms of the virus and is only spread through direct contact with bodily fluids.

Buried in the news article it says 'they don't know if he has ebola or just the flu yet as they haven't tested him'.

But that doesn't make as good a headline or scare monger as well.

Dr Gerrard, a world-renowned infectious diseases expert, said initial clinical assessment of the 25-year-old made it "exceedingly unlikely" he had the highly infectious disease but he would remain in isolation as further tests were undertaken.

Queensland Health's 'appropriate bit' is investigating, info at oresent is that it is 'unlikely' that he will be found to be suffering from Ebola.

My fault, I left work yesterday telling my colleagues to have a peaceful couple of days......

News is a bit panicky at the moment, Ebola, Obama and the G8, Multiple Mosques in very white areas, plus jihad raids. Add a kinky sex tape.

Someone at work described it at work this morning as 'Un- Australian',

Ah yes its a lovely all encompassing term isnt it, anything you dont remotely like the sound of can be labelled UnAustralian, whether it makes sense is irrelevant.

Sierra Leone has condemned Australia's decision to suspend entry visas for people from Ebola-affected countries in West Africa as "counterproductive" and "discriminatory".

The move has also been criticised by Amnesty International.

The Australian government announced on Monday that it was cancelling non-permanent or temporary visas held by people from the affected countries who were not yet travelling, and that new visa applications would not be processed.

Permanent visa holders yet to arrive in Australia must undergo a 21-day quarantine process before departure.

Immigration Minister Scott Morrison told parliament: "The government's systems and processes are working to protect Australians."

But Sierra Leone's Information Minister Alpha Kanu described the move as "too draconian", insisting that measures put in place at Sierra Leone's Freetown airport had successfully prevented anyone flying out of the country with Ebola.

"It is discriminatory in that... it is not [going] after Ebola but rather it is... [going] against the 24 million citizens of Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea. Certainly, it is not the right way to go," he told Reuters news agency. "This measure by the Australian government is absolutely counterproductive."

Sensible! Who gives a toss what Sierra Leone's minister has to say. No doubt he will be standing there with his little paws outstretched wanting Aussie aid.

Exactly. Is foreign fruit offended it can't enter Australia?

We'll said!

Common sense must be used in such circumstances and sod those who don't like it!
