Very wet here in St Ives- I think I'm going to get soggy on my delivery round. At least I don't have to water my garden or next door's for a few days.

We had a lot of rain on Saturday evening too. Luckily for us our shipping agents in London spun out of control and containerised our brollies and our car windscreen ice scrapers too - which incidentally has also come in handy here

Sorry, it's my fault.

We needed some rain to put the last of the fire out up here in the mountains, so I did a rain dance.

As ever, bit of a sorcerer's apprentice moment and now I can't work out how to turn it off.

Soz again.

When we moved here in the 70s there was a set of brochures that they gave you with your visa: Housing in Australia, Suitable Clothing to bring, Education, Health. blah blah.

"In Australia you will rarely find the persistent drizzle that is so prevalent in Britain, here it rains briefly then the sun shines through again... " or words to that effect.

Presumably so you could get a clear view of the squadrons of pigs practicing aerobatics above.

Ok so the rain briefly bit is dumb but around here we rarely get the UK persistant drizzle in your face drizzle. It rains proper rain when it rains here.
