Recent tests seem to suggest that generally dishwashers use less water than hand washing. This obviously can vary between washers both mechanical and manual.

I fixed mine :thumbsup: It cost about $50 for the motor and $40 for the armature. Take it slowly and they are incredibly simple to fix. The problem was caused by a piece of broken glass getting into the armature a couple of years ago. If I'd changed the armature then, I would have saved $50 on the motor.

After I did it this time, it throws the RCD switch the instant I press the "on" button.


Probably about $120 for new electronic board, and if you can change a tap washer then can fix a dishwasher, they are very simple.
