Did I really see a Woolworths ad....
...in the newspaper today advertising that Longlife milk has been reduced by...wait for it......4c?
$1.49 to $1.44. Yes Woolworths - that's really going to get me to change my shopping habits.
Does anyone else reckon that Woolworths must think the Australian population is both completely thick and entirely gullible?
Anyone got any more examples of 'deals' which are, quite frankly, insulting?

Or check the price of the larger packs compared to the smaller. 2 smaller packs are often cheaper than the equivalent single item.
Or the fact that they charge different prices at different stores depending on what monopoly they have. If there is a Coles next door your shopping bill will be cheaper. That really, really annoys me.

The smaller packs were often better value, but that is beginning to change now that pricing by weight is being given on the shelves.

Ha! I came across this once. I remember standing in puzzled wonderment; I thought that my maths was failing me. I couldn't believe the stupidity of it.
Only in Australia can the law of economies of scale be inverse.

You often see that, 2c reduction isnt uncommon Best one is when a product goes up, the same week it goes to the old price as 'on special".
They do assume the public here are stupid or more like it have no choice
I simply crack up at the feed a family for $10 meals, one recently was a lettuce leaf with a tiny amount of mince and a shallots and a carrot in it. The avg bloody aussie would eat 15 of them, then ask whats for the main course

Recently, $2 each or 3 for $6. Mention it to the staff and they have a laugh about it and say, 'yeah..we know!'.

ALDI goes over $10 on their one, unless you are a family of 2.

Personally I prefer a decent steak... some people prefer cheap yoghurt
$7.99 kg Rib Fillet. 18 pieces at 180gm each, costing $1.40 per steak.
But add little bit of fried onion... not too much though...

Yer, I have seen a fair few 'price dropped' at like 2c. Whoopydoo!
And also often things cheaper in smaller packs.
Or things that are at their use by date reduced but still costing more than the 'buy two for ....' deals. But then I used to see that in the UK too.
