Sorry to bombard you with questions but what specific information did you find startling or dangerous? Where has it caused deaths? And if supervised by GPs who are also nutritionists how is it any more dangerous than the shocking side effect profiles of psychotropic drugs? If you look at some of the links I posted recently you can compare the side effects of psychotropic drugs against those of megadoses of vitamins.

Doctors still want DD to go on Roaccutane. I've just been looking at the side effects, one of which is anxiety, (as well as suicide and depression,) and as DD is already anxious, I'm not sure it is a good thing. Also can cause stunted growth, hirsuitism, bowel problems and all women of childbearing age have to go on the pill, which DD was on to treat the acne, but which caused her cholesterol to rise so she had to stop. Also causes anemia and blood problems (common), and she is borderline anemic already.

She had blood tests every so often to keep on eye on everything , She can not go on the pill as she suffers migranes , but you still have other options.
She is so happy with her skin now she is a different person.
If it was my daughter i would not hesitate ! drugs always have side effects , but sometimes you need to weigh up the good with the bad !

The specialist told me at the time what people do not seem to realise is how painful the condition is. Not only unsightly but very very painful. He had to keep out of the sun, his lips peeled as the skin sheds. He was fine. Here in Australia they are very careful with it and blood tests are carried out throughout the treatment to see that there are no side effects.
The results were/are great.

Had parents' evening last night. The French teacher out of the blue said he was concerned that DD was not good enough for HL IB, as she hasn't got the required grasp of the technical grammar and vocab needed. She had always done really well at French, and it left her in tears. She cannot swap from HL to SL as with the IB you have to take 3 HL subjects, and as they are more than half way through the syllabus, there is no way she can go up to HL in another subject.
Now she is really anxious. I wish something had been said last year, so we would have had time to do something about it.

It is taken in November, and is graded 1-7. You need to get a 3 to pass in each subject. We thought that DD was a linguist which is what he told us when he said two years ago that she should do HL, and should be able to get a 5 or 6, not a 3!! The teacher told her to stop learning other languages for fun, and to concentrate on her French. ( She is teaching herself Korean at the moment as she is into K-Pop.)
At least her maths has seen a big improvement with all the hard work over the holidays- gone up from 64% to 75% at the last test, or a borderline grade 6.

Oldest saying in the world i know but as my parents always used to say to me 'you can only do your best'. Always meant alot to me when my parents said that.
