Dentist
All I can say is WOW.
My Australian dentist puts the NHS dentist I went to see when on holiday back home for 2 weeks to utter shame. I had a bit of tooth break off when eating chocolate back home. Not a small bit of tooth but quite a big bit. So U.K dentist fills it in . Tells me that the tooth will need pulled out and is totally rotten. Plus his injection hurt like hell  and I had a sore jaw for about a week and a half. My dentist in Tassie, tells me no your tooth just needs a proper filling after doing an xray. The tooth is NOT rotton. The injection to num my gum was not painfull at all. And he made the tooth look a nice pearly white too. Cost $380 for 2 fillings that I needed but I think it was well worth it. I love Australia looks like they train their dentists properly here at school!!! |
Re: Dentist

Re: Dentist
If there's anyone in Melbourne looking for a dentist, let me know. My brother in law has just opened a new practice in East Melbourne, with state of the art technology.
His old practice was in Covent gdn, london. He is by far the best dentist I have ever visited (and I've visited a few!) so I can genuinely recommend him. cheers |

The only difference I noticed is that in the UK the hygienist works separately to the dentist. |

One crap dentist in the UK and they are all bad? The private ones all charge like wounded bulls, yes, but they do that in OZ too.
