A decent curry in Melbourne!
I've just rated Singh's 4.0 out of 5.0 on Google Maps and thought I'd share it with you guys still in search of a decent curry!
Thribble and I are both curry lovers and recently visited Singh's with a friend. It was a hot Summer evening outside, but inside was nice and cool. The staff were very polite and efficient and brought us drinks while we studied the plentiful menu. The entrées arrived nice and quickly (which was good because we were starving) and the mixed pickle went down particularly well with the papadums.
When the main courses arrived, we were given butter chicken rather than the Bombay chicken we had ordered. I mentioned this to the waiter who served it and he was most apologetic and took it back to the kitchen. The waiter who took our order also came to the table to apologise for the mix-up before the replacement dish was brought out. While the butter chicken wasn't to our taste, the Bombay chicken was delightful, as were the lamb rogan josh and the saag aloo. The rice and breads were spot on.
I shall certainly go back to Singh's, so give us a call if you fancy a decent curry North of the CBD!
