Decent coffee in Australia?

Does anybody know if you can get hold of Kenco, or any other decent, coffee in Australia without getting your mum to send it over.

We have tried every coffee in Coles and Woolies but nothing comes close to the coffee you could get in the UK. None of the British shops seem to stock coffee only the camp coffee:frown:

Do you mean instant coffee? Aussies generally like real coffee; that's why Starbucks does so badly here.

Douwe Egberts in Australia is sold under Moccona brand name - I buy the Indulgence and pretty good instant coffee.

Yes, we are after a good instant coffee. Used to drink Kenco in UK and can't seem to find a good alternative here. May have to resort to buying filter coffee.

I liked Starbucks coffee, not so keen on the price's though.

The real question is "Decent coffee in the UK?"

And the answer, of course, is "No."

That's because Balmain isn't in the UK.

Definitely the best coffee in the world!

Well each to their own, but Aussies being demanding in their cofffee quality might explain the lack of choice in instant coffee. Not that I know, I don't buy it. I used only to buy illy espresso but I've recently found a decent fairtrade one. :)

Phone 03 9354 6887 Inflight Cafe, as they have the Kenco instant granual coffee in indvidual sealed packs. Ask where they get it from.

Looks like it comes under the banner of caterers blend though ?

I buy that too for the times when I can't be arsed firing up the espresso machine! Best of a bad bunch.

Its not great but it keeps you lively in the short term but if you can find a coffee that covers the taste of tap water then its alright.
