Just phoned my dad to ask if him and mum would mind sharing a family room in Canberra and Blue mountains on my planned excursions for them when they come out next thursday.

Dad said bad news, mums in hospital Didnt want to tell you until we knew exactly what is going on.

They think she has a gall bladder prob, and will likely have it removed. Ive had this myself not to worried about that side of things but apparently she has gone very yellow. So am worried sick and also very disappointed, lucky they have travel ins, so rescheduling shouldnt be a problem. Bummer is that I wanted them here for our citz ceremony on Australia day. So cross your fingers everybody that she has the op tomorrow and all is well quickly.

Hope your Mum gets better soon and sorry to hear that you have had this disappointment. I bet you have been looking forward to seeing them for a long time.

My friend had his gall bladder out a while ago and he went yellow too - but it subsided a few days after the op. Hope this helps a bit.

bugger, doc has said no travel for 3 months at least, so hoping to come in July now. Docs think its a bowel obstruction which can be serious, more tests on Thurs.

Thanks. Thery are looking to come in april now, bloody company wont change their tickets now, say they have to claim a refund from their insurers and then rebook. Arrrrgggghh. At least they had their insurance.

Thanks Jim, will let you deff later this week. Jo starts back to work next weekend so wont be able to come to ceremony but she does finish work about 3pm, she has said she should be able to come around then to our bbq. And yes you can gatecrash ours.
