I agree with Bernie, the NHS in times of trouble are fantastic.

Oh BTW our dog is also making excellent progress, touch & go for a few days but he's getting stronger all the time.

Thanks mate, obviously I am more concerned about your BIL but I am a doggy person too so the dog was also in my thoughts. Fingers crossed we get 2/2. :)

Update: Out of surgery, awake & fully functioning, full use of all limbs & still has a sense of humour. We were worried about a change in temperament as another mate had a similar op a few years ago & underwent a complete change in personality, a true Jekyll & Hyde type one.
Thanks for all the well wishes, much appreciated. Deb's still on the phone to her mum, has been since about 6am. No idea what they find to talk about for hours, must be a female thing:o
