The Cricket Thread (...and other sport)

Re: The Cricket Thread
It's fun watching India get smashed at 1 day and 20 over cricket as these are supposed to be their strong points, seeing as they are no longer interested in test cricket.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Interesting point, and even as a Pom I have to admire the Aussies (past) for producing a squad that could win in all conditions.
It's the true test of a side worthy of being top dog.

Re: The Cricket Thread
India chase down 320 AND get a bonus point with ease to keep them in finals contention.
Strange game indeed.

Re: The Cricket Thread
An unbelievable turnaround. Kohli hit four 4s and a 6 in a single over!

England Test Squad & fixtures for Sri Lanka:
15-17 March vs Sri Lanka Board XI, Colombo, 20-22 March vs Sri Lanka Cricket Development XI, Colombo, 26 March first Test, Galle International Stadium, 3 April second Test, P Sara Oval, Colombo
Andrew Strauss (captain) (Middlesex), James Anderson (Lancashire), Ian Bell (Warwickshire), Ravi Bopara (Essex), Tim Bresnan (Yorkshire), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Alastair Cook (Essex), Steven Davies (Surrey), Steven Finn (Middlesex), Monty Panesar (Sussex), Samit Patel (Nottinghamshire), Kevin Pietersen (Surrey), Matt Prior (Sussex), Graeme Swann (Nottinghamshire), James Tredwell (Kent), Jonathan Trott (Warwickshire)
I'd have had J Bairstow in as sub keeper as it's a short tour & he'd bolster the (potentially weak) batting. Is Bopara really a better bet than Morgan? Tredwell needed?

Good win for Sri Lanka today to get them into the finals. Cracking support too
The Indians head for the airport.
At least they'll be able to catch up with their taxi driving brethren.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Sri Lanka should win it from here, they have beaten Australia the last 3 meetings and definitely seem to have their measure.
