Re: The Cricket Thread (...and other sport)
Sheer garbage. Here's the current top 10 Australian men and women.
Rankings – Players and Rankings - News and Events - Tennis Australia
Born overseas in the Men - Tomic (moved to Gold Coast when 3), Marinko Matosevic (moved to Melbourne when 7); all other 8 born in Australia.
Born overseas in the Women - Gajdosova and the 2 Rodianova's; all other 7 born in Australia.
Every Grand Slam won by an Aussie has been won by an Australian born player.

And Grand Slams won by them - none; ATP/WTA tournaments won by them - 2 (Tomic). Palpable nonsense the claim 'where would Australian tennis be without Eastern Europeans' (Tomic born Germany, not EE anyway). Rodianova's Russia - so you are saying where would Australian tennis be without the Rodianova's. Hewitt's 3 slams, Davis Cup, year end Masters, world nmbr 1 and 30 tour titles puts that nonsense in perspective.

You are just making yourself look foolish. I know the drill; make an exaggerated claim not backed up by reality and refuse to even say maybe I was wrong. End of conversation on tennis which you know little about.

Are you not going to say you were wrong?
Ten of the top 20 players (male and female) in your link have eastern european names....i bet that causes havoc when selections are read out
Do they have interpreters handy?
