Great game and it was good to see India go for it - they have a great captain

SA would have done it

India needed to get something out of this game in order to make the series competitive

It'll be all Aussie now

Poor umpiring, cricinfo said. I didn't watch it on TV, so I'd like to know which team came off worst from the umpiring errors?

What a game. What a hangover. If India wereaable to bowl last on that it could have been a different story.

I only saw result as I couldn't watch it. Close match! Look to be a good series contest if India can play well.

Couple of glaring mistakes but Lyon had about a dozen decent lbw appeals denied. India insist on no review in any of their games so India cannot complain if they perceive any tipping of the injustice scales against them.

You had your chance in the last series at home and didn't do it so what makes one think otherwise?

Simple - best team in the world that is pretty good at run chases

Your batting line-up is nowhere as good as India's IMHO (it's India's bowling which doesn't match their batting) and to suggest SA would have made a better go than Kohli and Vijay is highly questionable and is irrelevant anyway as we weren't playing you in Adelaide so we'll never know.

I don't know the points situation but I'd guess by end of this series the #1 will be up for grabs - it would be poetic injustice if you lost it whilst not playing because you regained it whilst not playing.;)

We've also beaten you last time at all 3 forms of the game so I think the world knows which is the better team of the 2.

Methinks you need to do a bit of research about the rankings my ocker friend

SA are 1, India are 6 - and they are 6 for a reason

If Australia win this series 4-0 they go to 120 points. SA are on 124. We would need to be 3-nilled by the WI at home for Australia to go top. Ain't going to happen

SA have a great recent history of run chases - including that epic one in Perth in 2009 (I was there - a fantastic day)

ODI cricket is stupid so you are welcome to it. T20s are fun but that's it - party on with that one

SA are the best cricketing nation on the planet today - and sometime in the distant future, Australia will be there again, but until then build a bridge and get over it

At the moment you're coming across as a typical Aussie sports fan ie a bit of a pork chop ;)

No, you've lost - last Test, ODI and T20 series. You never discuss this; you can dredge up 2009 but that's the last time the 2 countries have played in all forms of the game. I'm retiring 100 not out from this friend. :amen:

I thought you retired in post #27?

SA No.1 in the only form of cricket that matters
