I don't really mind either, they're both superstars as you say, cricket Australia wanted a career ended to teach a lesson, but not someone who was a top drawer permanent fixture. It's the fact that they went for low hanging fruit that gets up my nose, I don't think how he performs comes into it. Anyhow, good test cricket being played here 👍👍

Shocking they can still play a game they love and earn whilst doing so.

This is a test cricket master-class

No fan of Warner as the man, but that innings yesterday was pretty special in my view. Facing his nemesis in Broad with the pink ball wobbling around early on, he hit 1 run off 50 balls to get through that period before getting a 95.

The good thing about the Adelaide Pink Ball test is the constantly changing conditions.

It was but that LBW that got overturned when he was on about 20 was plumb. Close to the bat but he was out. I think the TV ump was watching a different replay!

Poms locked in their rooms as a family member has tested positive. Better than a day bowling and fielding I guess…

Probably best if they slink off home. Overpaid arrogant twits!

Nah. They will be fine when they start bowling the right lengths.

A bit late for that. Oh and they can’t bat…
Pathetic performance and that’s being kind..

I think the bowlers got it together a bit in this third test, but the batting is wanting. No one seems to be able to defend their wicket for any length of time.

For test matches, Root has an average of 61.0 runs. Second is Malan at 34.2, and everyone else has an average below 30! (info from here - https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/en...am=1;type=year - may be missing last England innings)

Jimmy got it together this test. He had the experience to see what was needed to be bowled on that 11mm of grass and did so. The rest failed.

It wasn't a nice wicket to bat on. See Australia's batting score. The difference was Australia consistently bowled the right lengths and England did not, except for Jimmy.

This has been the theme for the past 3 tests where the pitches have been on the green spectrum. Pitch it up on a good length, get them in 2 minds. Not your typical Australian pitches.

It's all too easy to blame batsmen. Remember batsmen are only as good as the conditions or the bowlers they face.

Probably all round Australia have a better batting line up especially when you throw in the records of Labash and Smith but they didn't do much this test. Australia's bowling just always looks threatening no matter who has the ball.
