Crabs
Hi All
Walked the dogs along church point/bayview (Sydney Northern braches) today. Tide was quite far out and there were hundreds of little blue shelled crabs. Didnt have the camera. Any Idea what sort of crabs they are?

I think when they are blue they've very recently moulted and the blue is the new case that is hardening, in a few days they'll be back to their normal colour which should help with identification.

Thanks Nigel - I will keep an eye out over the next few weeks and try to get pics. We did see 1 or 2 much darker ones, but the face there were swarms of blue ones, we just wondered.
