Parking charges are an outrageous racket in both UK and Australia--they are really a hidden tax mostly levied by local authorities.Same with parking tickets and the roadside scam-cams.

I will find out - it was in the City next to one of the HOtels but I can't remember where she said she stayed. Her OH parked at another car park nearby and paid about $45 - she was spitting feathers!!!
