Just a few pix from the garden - I found out this spider is called the St Andrew's Cross Spider - how cool is that web?!
The photos of the bats were NOT taken in my garden though!

A couple of years ago I was walking home from the pub on a hot humid night. I walked under a low hanging palm tree and next thing I knew, I couldn't see anything because there were bat wings around my face.

And if that's not bad enough, the damn thing licked my ear ! At least, I think that's what it did.

In Singapore, a lizard once dropped from a tree onto my wife's head. She gave out such a blood curdling scream!:rofl::rofl:

We have a water tank in our back garden covered in jasmine.
Seems to be a favourite hangout for St Andrew's Cross spiders....number of times I have walked into the web at night is amazing.

They are cool spiders, but as I don't know how to post pics on here, I have not shared my photos!

The bats here really freak me out  we have huge sets of allsorts of trees at the back of our garden and they often sit there through the night making shreiking noises - all bloody night!

That's where an ouzi comes in handy :D

I must get one!
