for copyrighted music, the site is legal as the disclaimer says, the illegality rests as usual with the end user, I would presume if, as 3 of the major recording companies claim, no deal has been signed for the music as qtrax asserts. interesting prospect though. Be good to see how it develops.

If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
The domain, IP and ISP block all check out as legit.
This Klepfisz guy seems legit.
They are calling it "ad-supported p2p".

You will probably download a non-lethal, but I suspect very in-your-face smorgasbord of popups, ads, spyware, adware, hungry processes and so on that will drain your PC's resources and be a bugger to remove.

If you like free music but a brain-dead PC, then get it.

You might have a wait. They are all unable to get on the internet because all the viruses / spyware have screwed their PC's.

I would wait a while until someone makes a "lite" version which wont have the bundles adware shite.

I still use bearshare which is full of spyware and adware but I have a version that was released before all the bundled software. Even so, every time I turn it on I have to pause an automatic download of a version upgrade to stop it updating to a version full of adware crap.

Bottom line is that it's still illegal to download copyrighted tunes and unless the search results have 2 million new tunes by unknown artists who have paid for inclusion in search results the results would be for illegal copies for sure.......
