My previous thread didn't post the poll (my fault I think) so this is a second attempt...

Would you have posted this poll if you were going Economy?

We were toying with business or whatever, but the reality is that you hemorrhage money in the first few weeks you're here, buying car, rental bond, renting or buying appliances until the ship gets here ...

So economy it was. When I win the 10 million dollars on the lottery I'll go first... just for fun.

PS - I don't do the lottery.

Absolutely. I've never flown business before and I doubt I ever will again. Are you implying something? If I wanted to "show off" I would have simply lied and chosen the "first" option.

The reason I created this thread was that I was actually trying to ascertain how common business class bookings were amongst the community because I still feel slightly nervous about spending so much money on just getting there. It was an attempt to ease my concern (which seems to have backfired btw). My wife and I decided to treat ourselves and make life easier for ourselves as we are travelling with a 1 year old and without a bassinet position in economy we were pretty worried about spending 24 hours with him in a confined space (he's a very demanding little boy - more so than other babies we know).

You left out "baggage". We can't afford 4 tickets in economy, so we're using our 40 kg each to bring the kids. I think the hold is pressurized; right?

I'm not implying anything - I simply asked a relevent question which you have answered. I'm sure you weren't showing off - it is you who said that. We considered Business class but we felt it was a waste of money. We flew Emirates so the Economy Class is excellent. With the money we saved we bought a car (an old one admittedly) but my job comes with a company car so we now have two cars for the price of one.
