City vs Country
I like the countryside... green grass, twittering birds, clean air etc.
Husband likes the city... no hayfever, convenient to businesses, hustle bustle.
Which do you prefer... and why?

Country, every time. I can understand the attraction of living in a city such as London but it does nothing for me. I love the quiet, the green countryside, the animals.

In the country, near a city - best of both worlds.
Had/have this in both countries.

City. Lots more to do. Country is nice to visit for a weekend but living there would be dull.

This is the No 1 for us about Melbourne. And it feels like the country, not just a stockbroker green belt. We might as well be in Dorset! And then there's a substantial city down the road with the benefits of a city like Birmingham (or Manchester) - only you can understand the local patois.

City... I love to be able to walk up the road and see life happening all around me.
I prefer to be around people rather than away from them.
Quite like a short visit to the Country... but it has to be Green and preferably with a river or lake view and lots of Trees. Quite fussy about my Countryside Vista likes.

Countryside is full of cows, sheep shaggers, noisy farms and weirdos.

I like to have the best of both worlds too.
I live in the Adelaide hills, but work in the city which is 30-45 away. Hustle and bustle when you need it then peace and quiet afterwards
However, I am probably veering more towards the countryside as I get older.

I like to live in the country or sea side and have the city near enough for a night out
but far enough away to not get the traffic!

Yup, another both. Live in country with access to city probably the best option for me. So, living in rural Cambridge at the mo and easy access to London (like I did yesterday) - perfect!

After being in Perth for 7 years I will always have to live by the sea now. During my 6 weeks in the UK the only time I was happy was when I was in Port Logan on the West Coast of Scotland where our cottage on the cliff overlooked the Irish Sea. Whilst Perth is a City it doesn't have the busy city feel for me so it is the best of both worlds for our family.
