The problem with that theory jen is that who knows when your booked to go?

Ps I smoked for 16 years and loved it but now a non smoker for 18months or so

I was a passive smoker for most of my childhood (parents) so the damage is probably already done! GRRR lol

Good for you that you have stopped

True about the "who knows when we're booked to go?". I've known people who have never smoked hardly drank alcohol and led a clean and pure life and they have still passed away very young. Likewise I have known others who have led a rough and dirty life and lived to a ripe old age.

Who cares how many smokes in a packet, its how many you stuff in yer gob.....I drove from Adelaide to Whyalla one night , doing a Trailer change over, around trip of 800km it took 9hrs [with breaks] i smoked a whole pack, of 25 Winfields , i realised i had not enjoyed one of those fags...that was the begining of the end of my smoking ...took awhile but i beat it .....mm

Yes the human lungs are not designed to be fulled up with smoke everday, eventually it will do damage, yes there are a few people live to 100 and say they smoked since they were 15 but they are the few lucky ones, what about all people that die dreadful deaths before their time from lung cancer and other lung problems in their 40,s 50's and 60's.
