They all look very healthy so far considering the conditions.

Leaving aside the apparently unsafe conditions in the mine, the Chilean authorities and all the engineers involved deserve immense credit for the professional way the whole operation has been handled.

It was the footage of the little boy running to his dad crying that got to me

I am so pleased that they will all be getting out, it couldnt have been easy down there and so difficult for their families. I cannot imagine how it would be like to know your loved one is trapped underground and waiting for them to be rescued.

It would have been a nightmare. The little boy... My wife went overseas around the time they were discovered so I can gauge the timeframe...it's a long time, and they were down there for a few weeks before they were found...

and I still have 6 weeks to go! I miss my kids.

I would love to give them away, but they'd only get sent back anyway

But it is winding me up that they keep showing the Chilean flag everywhere, like it's a purely chilean job.

It's like a big show of the "we f'd up but then we fixed it" .

I'll bet they got international help to rescue them.

So the flags are really saying "we f'd up and then got others in to help us fix it"

Of course the rescue of the miners is the most important thing, but I hate to see politicians hanging their reputation off it.

And the Chilean President says he will be there for the duration for the rescue.... unless it takes too long. There is commitment for you.

I think it's been an amazing story and shows just how strong the human spirit can be in the most extreme iof circumstances

But I was quite amazed at how clean shaven the first guy out was. My leg hair is thicker than his beard

Haven't seen any more since this morning, but am off to check now!!
