Child care in Perth
 

Hi,
Can anyone please recommend some child care places I can go and check out in preparation for my little one? We live in Tapping and I will be back working in the city so would appreciate any advice or warnings.

Go Bananas in Joondalup is good - huge place with jungle gym and they do days out most days of the school holidays. They even pick up from the school in the afternoon by bus from Carramar Primary so may do the same for Tapping. They are flexible too so you can add odd days etc.

If they are school Go Bananas is great they open at 7am and close a 6pm. They do school pick up and drops off for both Carramar and Tapping schools. I think the price for a drop off or pick us is about $17 and vacation cares is $43 per day. but they only do the school runs and vacation care.

There is an ABC centre in Tapping I think, (back of St Shephens School) if your little is not yet at school and also a there is a day care centre in Carramar by the school.

aah right - I've seen that place off Winton Rd but didn't realise it did day care too. Do you have any idea of how much it costs? Trying to predict if it's going to be worth me going back to work part time in the city.

thanks sam - little one isn't even born yet! - pass the ABC one every morning, but have heard so many bad things about the ABC name I was wondering if anyone had feedback on this particular one.

I know how much the missus (thepinkpussycat) takes off me for it but that might not be the same as what it actually costs.;) We are supposed to get a tax break on the payments which she claims we won't see until our next tax return (almost two years by then since we first started using them) but I reckon it has been spent on shoes and handbags and she hopes I will forget.:lol:
