Hi

We fly on Thurs am back to blighty via Dubai. Its a 6am flight :frown: which means a 330-400am check in....or do i need to be there earlier?

The timings on this flight are a nightmare!!

where are you flying from? I flew that sort of time from Sydney and as they dont open security until around 4.30am you end up hanging round forever around by the check in desks. Nothing was open on the other side of security before our flight boarded so couldn't buy my normal supply of water for the flight - ours was one of the first flights out of sydney.

Make sure you check in online and print out your boarding pass. Its amazing the number of people who don't do that - and it speeds up the checkin (there's usually a separate queue) and also cuts the time you have to be their ahead of the departure time.

Check in online on Wednesday and print your boarding pass. Then you can be there at 4:30 or so and just drop your bags before going through security. Makes it much quicker.

No seperate queue for emirates when i flew last time from sydney.

There was a cafe open on check in side when i flew in january.

Really? There was at Melbourne when I flew about a month ago. Big queue in the normal checkin, nobody in the online checked in. Walked straight through the snake-line thing, then got called across to the 1st class line.
