does anyone know whether SBS are showing the final on monday morning at all?
I cant find any info on the net.

you shouldnt even need a set top box, just plug your tv straight into the aerial socket...SBS is one of the main nationwide channels......

SBS has always been shit on all of the set top boxes I've owned. It's generally due to the signal power. You may find that if you get a booster/amplifier that this helps, but not guaranteed. If your tv can receive analogue signals then try that as my experiences show that I can get SBS on analogue signal but not digital
