Carpenters help needed please
 

We've got some pals in the UK who are going throught the visa process. He's a chippie and I've offered to get some info for him.

So, any lovely chippies out there who could help me with the following:

1) what's the average hourly pay?

2) what hours are worked say, on a building site?

3) is it hell working in the heat in the summertime?

4) do you have to join a union?

1 $26-36 dollars an hour
2 8 hours
3 heat can be a bitch
4 some of the larger sites are closed shop!

ps bench hand joiners and kitchen fitters only earn $18.50 to start.brisbane.
