Is this car worth a punt?
I'm looking for a cheap car. I have spotted this on FB. It certainly fits the 'cheap' criteria, plus big enough for kids, equipment etc. Could anyone even speculate as to what the problem might be, and potentially how much I might have to spend to get it up to scratch?
Santa Fe: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...94652100627921 Also got my eye on these: VW Golf: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...99261777512829 Proton Prevé: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...55607234961500 Honda Accord: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...53312665548287 Skoda Octavia: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...78004476097008 Any thoughts & opinions much appreciated and gratefully received. FWIW we've been Honda for decades (except I've just bought a different new car) - fantastic engineering, excellent construction and until recently good looking cars. (The newer ones have gone all psychotic, taking the Lexus line.)

All the main Japanese brands are pretty reliable. I think I read recently that Mitsubishi is rated as the most reliable in Australia

Local mechanic recommends a Lancer to replace the Pulsar when it eventually dies.
It will go well with our year old Triton which is going great. |

I recently leaned the Tiguan 5 seater is made in Germany yet the 7 seater Tiguan is made in Mexico. Seems a bit odd. |
