Car window tinting

I bought a new car on the weekend and resisted all the paint/fabric/plastic/rust protection bullshit that they threw at me ('normally $3k but I can do it today for $2k with window tinting thrown in for free' yadda, yadda). So I am now looking to get the car's windows tinted. What's good out there? Any recommendations?

Yep, shouldn't be more than $250 or so and well worth it.

Cool. The girl trying to 'sell' me their product said that tintacar window film turns purple over time. Not sure how true that is. It's probably bullshit.

Probably bullshite. If you find a place to do a sunroof for less than the GDP of a small African country could you let me know? It's the only thing my new car doesn't have that I really wanted.

I just got my new crew cab Ute done $290 for the darkest legal [35%] with a 5 year warranty. Cars were $250. Local independent company, fitted electronic rustproofing for $300 at the same time.
I bought canvas seat covers for $200 instead of Scotch-guarding them.

That's a great price. The only place I can find over here to do sunroofs wants $3500 to do one on my car. The old man thinks I don't need one all that badly. :D

Don't forget to add your 'My Family' stickers on the back when the tinting is done :)

Is that to fit a sunroof, or tint one?

Good price on the tinting. I've been quoted $325 for a dual cab, lifetime warranty for a similar tint.

I've ordered neoprene seat covers. Not cheap but they look really smart and are very comfortable.

when I bought my VW a few years back they tried the same sell on me. Found out later all they do is take it to the local Tint-Mart anyway. So went there directly and saved about $500
