Default Car Insurance

Just got my renewal for car insurance with Swan of $800 for the year
I only paid $590 last year so why are they charging me so much this year when i haven't had a claim???

Anyway, what car insurance company are you with and does anyone have any good recommendations as i do NOT intend paying that.

p.s..my car is a Ford Territory.

I was with them when we first arrived and found out how expensive they were the second year!!

Now with SGIO who were the cheapest I could find, plus as we have both our cars plus contents and buildings ins with them you get a 10% discount.

Mine is up for renewal at the moment, I spent all day on the internet yesterday getting quotes and still can't seem to beat my current insurer ING -
$410 for 2004 Holden Commodore and $376 for 2006 Toyota Yaris.

RAC have always been the cheapest for us, I re-check 3 or 4 each time it gets renewed and there always between 15-30% cheaper than the others.

I think we are paying about $350 each on a 12 month old Mazda 3 and an 8 year old Rav4. We both have full no claims bonus which helps. We are with Allianz.

Of course i am going with SGIO.
Blimey! really shows how much it comes down to where you live and the car your insuring and what incidents each insurer has had with that vehicle and post code etc.
I think SGIO we're the dearest when I checked ours last time.

Yeah, its amazing how the prices of everything vary so much here. We bought a tv, fridge etc when we first came over and ran away from Retravision everything was so much dearer there. But we ended up buying the dishwasher there recently as they were cheapest by far. Prices varied by 20% across the various shops. It certainly pays to shop around.

Prices for electrical goods are excellent here as we just had Good Guys open up in Bunbury, so everyone else has panicked and loads of bargains to be had
