cant stand the waiting
 

Hi everyone,
lodged our visa application early december 2009, have applied for state sponsorship for western australia, my partner is a mechanical engineer, should here back abot that anytime! Just seems to be taking ages! HA! Anyone in a similar situation and lives central scotland

I am in the US, so can't relate to the moving to Aus, but I can most certainly relate to the waiting. Time really drags sometimes doesn't it.

Whitburn, West Lothian just inbetween Glasgow and Edinburgh!! Yeah i know it will all be worth the waiting, have got 2 young kids and cant waiting to get a better life for them.This bloody weather means they are stuck indoors bored!!!!

yup totally understand...been there done that and got the t-shirt, unfortunately its been pissin doon here for a few weeks now too, but its warm rain , but still a pain in the arse lol

Good point kporte. I remember a journalist referring to that whole M8 corridor from Lanarkshire through to West Lothian as "orange county".
I wonder if the humour police are on patrol!
What an idea. Let's send Scottish rednecks to Perth WA. Why didn't I think of that before?

Rangers club, u must be joking!! Hope not!! Thats why were moving!! This place is full of pathetic bitter football fans , who think a good nite out is fighting with each other!!

Hi Stacey Australia has loads of pathetic Aussie football/rugby fans. They are not bitter just daft. It's the most sport obsessed country that I've ever been to.

Hey Stacey, I am in the exact same position as you! We lodged our visa application in early Jan 09 & have also applied for state sponsorship for WA. My partner is a mechanic, we just want to get there asap. We live in Stepps just outside Glasgow. Nice to know someone else is in the same boat

Yeah wel dont have a problem with people who enjoy there sport, if u know central scotland wel then you wil know what i mean, football isnt a sport here, just an excuse for a piss up and a fight! My son loves football, but i would rather not have him grow up somewhere, where it is so patriotic!!!
