Nothing heavy like a leather adult ball it hurts small children when they kick it and in some cases can cause toes to break (according to what i have heard).
My 6 year old who loves football uses an umbro small leather ball which is just right and doesn't hurt when he kicks with force at my OH's groin.
A childs light ball will end up in next door's garden unless you have a big garden.
