Default Camping stove - Butane/Propane.

Hi All,

We brought our Camping Gaz butane camping stove from the UK, but everything here appears to be propane.

Can you get Camping Gaz cylinders here, can I convert the stove, or do I just have to throw it and get an Aussie propane one ?

Yes you can buy butane fuel here, we used ours while the power was out in last weeks blow, as to if it's the same fitting as a camping gaz cylinder well that's another story
Do you mean the type that fit's into a stove or lamp and is pierced upon fitting?

Nope, the 2.5 kg cylinders that you screw the regulator into.

Camping Gaz ( colmans ) don't do them here by the look of their website ;(

most camping stoves should operate off butane or propane all you should need is a new regulator
